Eagle Creek Ranch, the venue for our Harvest Dinner on October 12th, is a feast for the eyes with its majestic buttes, vernal pools, canyons and picturesque rolling hills. Each season holds a dazzling display of rare flora and fauna with autumnal colors from the cooler weather currently on display.

The 7,500-acre Ranch, which has been practicing regenerative agriculture for the past 40 years is an ecologically significant property with its contributions to water management, a precious resource here in California, and as a model of responsible land stewardship. The Ranch sits on the Tuscan aquifer and boasts 28 miles of stream and creek beds that weave through the property.

The Ranch flourishes with rich and abundant wildlife and is critical habitat for roosting bald eagles during winter months. The property also shelters culturally and historically significant resources. Examples include rock shelters used by indigenous Maidu, and post-settlement carved rock basins and a rock “cellar” created by stewards who herded sheep on the property.

NCRLT is helping the landowner fulfil their conservation vision by establishing an easement to protect this amazing property, conserving it in perpetuity for future generations and keep it in agriculture and oak woodlands.

We are fortunate to be holding our October 12th Harvest Dinner at this stunning ranch, located just a stone’s throw from Chico! At the dinner, we’ll be previewing a video made from drone footage captured this past Spring. It’s sure to be a memorable evening set among a majestic landscape.
